The challenge:

The global strategy has always been about redefining “travel”, a core value of the brand, by focusing on outer journeys. Since the last opus on the Astronauts, the campaign has been focusing on capturing the personalities' inner emotional lives, so as to present them in a way the public has never seen before.

The creative idea:

It has always been the world’s foremost portrait photographer, Annie Leibovitz, who has captured the emotional depths of the subjects for the Louis Vuitton Core Values campaign. After Mikhaïl Gorbachev, Catherine Deneuve, Sean Connery and Sally Ride, Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell &emdash; to name a few &emdash; we finally decided to turn the cameras on Annie.

With Shooting Stars, we capture her and her friend Mikhail Baryshnikov, one of the greatest ballet dancers of the 20th century, in an intimate conversation.

The chapter enables the public to share one moment with two stars and discover the journey of a lifetime.
